MP4 is a Finnish jazz quartet which was founded in February 2002. MP4's musical style ranges from Rhodes piano-driven sounds of the 70's to the groovy modern jazz and sensitive ballads with influences from soul, pop, funk and Finnish melancholy.
The sound of MP4 is a mixture of old and new, acoustic and electric, strong sense of melody, energic rhythmic feel, communication between the players and the audience and a wide spectre of sound colours made of trumpet, electrified trumpet, synthesized Rhodes piano, acoustic bass, drums and even vocals.
