Obi Blanche, the man behind the twitchin' and grindin' beat music he himself has dubbed Hobo-tech has come a long way to greet you. The tech-savvy Finn has travelled a winding road of differnt sounds from his position as a guitar vendor in the rural viking midlands to his current studio chair in his new haven Berlin. Starting out with a Technics 1200 turntable and a Numark mixer he began to produce hip hop beats in his teens, smoothly progressed via MOD to IDM and onwards to produce his nowadays sweaty hifi vs. analog electro mosh.
On his first release on New Judas Records, the EP Ragtag Vagabonds, Obi shows off his magic hobo-tech which is manufactured by recording the many live instruments he cherishes; his principle being to get the signal sounding right before entering the DAW.
